I’m Nivethan Radhakrishnan. I’m currently in year 10, and I enjoy studying at our wonderful school. I am an avid sportsman, or to be precise, a cricketer. I adore playing cricket for our school, and bringing pride to the bushy boy emblem.

Recently, in early March 2018, I travelled to Brisbane as part of the NSW U15 cricket team, and we competed in the National U15 championships. The team was picked after months of trials, and we were confident of a strong performance. We played against other states, and it was a great experience as a team and as individuals. Unfortunately, our tournament was cut short as we lost in the semi-finals to a strong Victorian side.

There was still a lot of joy as members from my team were chosen in the Australian U16 team. I myself was chosen, by none other than the great Greg Chappell, to represent the future of Australian cricket. Needless to say, I was elated, and couldn’t wait to brag about it at school to all my friends. Even after flying back to Sydney through the night, I was pumped up to go to school as soon as possible!

It may seem as a personal milestone, but there have been a lot of contributors to the success I have had so far. I would like to take this as an opportunity to thank the school, especially Mr. Kennedy and all the various staff, for their everlasting support.

Thank you,

Nivethan Radhakrishnan
