Parents & caregivers of Years 7, 9 and 10 students -

Further to the email sent to you early in April, please note that weekly on-line literacy numeracy exercises for your son are now in the third week. These exercises will continue weekly until the end of Term 2, even if normal schooling resumes during this time.

It will be remembered that, with the cancellation of the Year 7 & 9 NAPLAN tests this year, these exercises are providing important information about your son's literacy & numeracy progress. In Year 10, they are also good preparation for the Minimum Standards tests, which will now likely be held near the end of this Term.

If your son has completed these exercises, you will have received an automated email invitation through the Google Classroom platform, offering to send you weekly updates on his work completion. If you have not received this automated email, it is likely that he has not yet logged in to the class.

All Year 7, 9 and 10 boys have been sent Google Classroom join-codes for these exercises, emailed to them via their Department of Education email accounts.

Your assistance in encouraging your son to do these weekly exercises (or, to log on if he has not yet done so!) would be greatly appreciated. Maintaining his focus on literacy & numeracy skills in these times of interrupted schooling is vital to his future schooling.

Please do not hesitate to contact Mr Bawden at the school (Tuesdays/Thursdays), or by email, if you have any queries.

Yours sincerely,

M. Bawden
