As mentioned in the previous article, My Science @MQ is a Macquarie University initiative for teaching science to primary school students. In this program, students of Marie Bashir Public school were involved and were being mentored by a group of Year 9 Science A students from Homebush Boys High School. The program that was running for over 6 weeks concluded on Thursday September 12, 2019. Year 5/6 students from MBPS displayed some extraordinary science skills involving the critical thinking and hands on activities leading to collection and presentation of data. The same work will then be displayed at an annual science fair at the Macquarie University. The MBPS is highly appreciative of the support that Homebush Boys High School students have provided over the weeks. Hope such opportunities will continue to arise in future for the students to explore their skills in science and demonstrate the leadership skills. Congratulations to all the participants on the successful completion of their projects.
