My Science @MQ is an initiative of Macquarie University to promote Inquiry based teaching and learning of Science to the Primary school students. In this, students from a local primary school in partnership with a local high school will participate in a three day hands on science activities involving making models, displays and other modes of practical work demonstrations in science.

10 students from 9 Science A are representing the Homebush Boys High school to mentor the Marie Bashir Public School students. The high school students are trained by Macquarie University staff in a program called MyStic briefing. HBHS students attended this training at Strathfield Girls High school on Thursday 8 August 2019.

HBHS boys now will be mentoring the MBPS students under the guidance of Mr Singh, on August 15 and 29 and on September 12 2019 from 9 am to 11.30 am at Marie Bashir Public school. The work of the students will be displayed at MBPS for the students, staff and the parents. This work later will be displayed at a fair at Macquarie University, in the first week of November 2019. This will be attended by the parents of the students, teachers and other members of the community. Congratulations to all the students who have participated in this project.
