The school is holding its annual athletics carnival on Monday 27th of May 2019. We are fortunate to have been able to book the Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre at Homebush for this event. Students will be able to use the most up-to-date equipment and compete on the warm-up track that was used by competitors in the Olympic Games.

This is a formal school event and all students are expected to attend. Admission to the carnival has been paid out of the school fees. Students will be marked present before entering the Athletics Centre based on Houses. Students are encouraged to wear clothing in their house colours and each student doing so will be awarded a bonus point towards the carnival results. Rolls will be marked at 8.30am, just outside the main entrance.

When marked present, students are to go to their House Areas clearly marked with House Banners. At the end of the carnival, students will be marked off in their House Areas by their Roll Call teachers.

Competitors are expected to compete in athletic clothing. Board shorts, etc. will not be permitted at the next level. No student will be allowed to compete in bare feet.

Drums, radios, balls, etc. are prohibited and will be confiscated since they adversely affect the operating of the carnival. Students are also advised not to bring valuables on this day, and to ensure that they have someone to look after their possessions when they enter an event. There will be a café/canteen available, but we suggest packed lunches/refreshments, etc. since the food purchased here can be quite expensive.

Students are to make their own way to and from the venue. Click here to see public transport options.

The Carnival is expected to end at approximately 2.30 pm. Parents are more than welcome to attend the Carnival and will be admitted free. A program of events will also be given to each parent.
