Australian Youth Football Institute (AYFI) and Homebush Boys High School (HBHS) are pleased to announce a new partnership that is designed to integrate football and High School education.

AYFI has been working on the idea to offer football students a full time program for the past 4 years after witnessing the elite programs of European and UK clubs, AYFI wanted to design a program that would work within Australia’s culture.

The partnership with Homebush boys is integral to the program as the school has a great history of educational success, and our staff can provide the football tuition that is designed for footballers to maximise their potential.”

AYFI has appointed David Perkovic and Perry Moustakas as Director of Football and Head Coach respectively, whilst Gary Rafferty will be head of Human Performance and Charles Samushonga as the Goal Keeper Coach.

David Perkovic is an AFC B licensed coach who has coached professionally in South East Asia as well as in NPL competition in NSW. David is currently attending his FFA ‘A’ License course.
Perry Moustakas is UEFA B licensed coach who is a former professional football player in Europe whom featured in the UEFA champions league and is currently playing in the in the NSW Premier League.
Principal John Kennedy is excited to facilitate an advanced football program for the school.

I believe this association reflects the values and traditions of Homebush Boys High School where we value producing fine young, academic, community minded sportsman for our wider community".

Starting 2016 with U13 and U14s age groups, the program is designed to be completed when the students finish their HSC. The students will be part taking in football training and football education daily, to ensure that they have all the necessary developmental tools to maximise their potential. The program has been designed alongside Dr. Andre Machado and Nutritionist Shannon Heaton to ensure all athletes are developed effectively.
